I can see the situation for females has not changed.
I worked for 15 years as a computer operator. Back
when i first started men use to hack into female operators and install a stack dump,it was only a
screen display but they thought they had lost everything and would start all over. This made it
appear that our female operator were sub-standard.
I feel those who tout there ability with computers
are the very hackers that cannot compete with the
female ability.
So you’re extrapolating the borderline criminal behavior of “hackers” to some sort of general disdain all males had for their female coworkers? Perhaps I don’t quite understand the anecdote, but it seems like office hazing to me. Was this limited to female coworkers as victims? Does this still go on?
